Applying Mineral Makeup

With all the varieties of mineral makeup, there are hundreds of suggest ways to apply them. But
there are basic guidelines you can follow with most brands of mineral makeup. You should continue to follow your
own look by adding tweaks to our suggestions. But no matter what you do, you should practice a lot until you are
extremely happy with the look. Since it’s your face, you shouldn’t settle for satisfactory.
Appling foundation is one of the hardest things to get going. You will hear the terms swirl, buff, tap, and rock
to apply the foundation layer. However, if your foundation has bismuth ox chloride in it, you should buff it in.
You should always make sure that is buffed in well because without a good foundation, the rest of your makeup won’t
look its best. You should use a kabuki brush to do this job.

But just what the heck is a kabuki brush? Quite simply, a kabuki brush has very tightly packed bristles. Because
of this, it can hold a large amount of makeup even after tapping it. This allows you to really buff the foundation
on to your face. The only probably is that it may irritate your skin, even if you don’t have sensitive skin. Try
swirling the brush over the skin to release a small amount of foundation, then tap out some more, and finally buff
it in. This should help minimize any problems and build a good foundation for makeup.
You may also try using a fluffy brush for applying mineral makeup. If you are buying a good
quality makeup, then you shouldn’t need a kabuki brush. Quality makeup tends to
go a long way. Less is definitely more in this case. But just because you bought a quality makeup doesn’t mean you
should skimp out on the brush. It doesn’t matter if you’re buying a natural or synthetic brush. The important thing
to remember is that with a fluffy brush you don’t need to buff the makeup but
rather brush it and swirl it on.
Some people prefer a wet mineral foundation. And again, there are a couple of ways to do it. Using a brush, mix
the foundation with a bit of water and moisturizer until it is a uniform cream. Then you can brush it on to your
face in a downward motion. Once it starts to dry, it will turn in to a powder and the excess will fall off. You can
do this in a similar manner with a sponge but be careful not to saturate the sponge too much.
The reason why I suggest go use a downward motion is because yours pores and hairs are already pointing in that
direction. If you were to do an upward motion it would clog pores and have hairs stand up. This makes a big
difference in appearance even though they are so small. You should apply other makeup in a similar fashion over top
of your foundation.
One of the great things about mineral makeup is that you can put it on whether it is wet or
dry. It is also easy to blend moisturizer and other colors in to the mix with ease. Learn to play around and test,
I know you’ll love the results.
